Art & Modernity through the 20th century

GoldField Auction's forthcoming auction on 22 November promises to be rich in art treasures and exceptional collectables. It features a remarkable selection of Japanese porcelain, reflecting the elegance and refinement of Japan's decorative arts.

Notable pieces include a varied collection of Art Nouveau glassware and furniture by renowned Belgian and French artists. Connoisseurs will appreciate creations by Daum, the emblematic master glassmaker, and Gustave Serrurier-Bovy, the influential Belgian architect and designer of the Art Nouveau movement.

One of the jewels in the crown is a Carrara marble fountain by Belgian sculptor Égide Rombaux. This exceptional work embodies the sculptural skills of the period and highlights the nobility of Carrara marble, prized for its finesse and whiteness.

The sale also features a collection of lighting and contemporary furniture by designer Jules Wabbes, whose timeless design continues to appeal to fans of modern furniture. Watch collectors will have the opportunity to discover a fine selection of watches from leading brands, testifying to the excellence of watchmaking.

Finally, jewellery enthusiasts will be able to admire and acquire gold jewellery, carefully selected for its quality and elegance.
