Zoomorphic oil lamp - Lot 31
Zoomorphic oil lamp Nuremberg, 16th century (later element) Rare patinated bronze oil lamp featuring a stylized lion, emblematic of Nuremberg's Renaissance production. The shaft takes on an expressive animal form, with an upright head and open mouth serving as a spout. The elegantly curved handle at the back allows the object to be manipulated during use. The circular, molded base is later (probably 19th century), serving as a display stand.
