Lot 257 - "Nude with a Skull" Pierre BLANC Charcoal drawing signed and dated 1922. Like many Luxembourg artists, Pierre Blanc was a teacher of art education at the Ecole des Artisans in Luxembourg and a painter. He studied in Munich and Prague, was one of the most prominent figures on the Luxembourg art scene and was a co-founder of the CAL. He was awarded the Grand Duke Adolphe Prize. He died in 1946 and left behind a prolific body of work, paintings, drawings, pastels, illustrations and copies of historical works.
