Lot 8 - Japan, imposing patinated bronze incense burner adorned at its base with a samurai on horseback in a pine forest chasing a tiger, symbol of power, freedom and independence, in its center another warrior grappling with a snake. At the top, a Samurai recounting his deeds of war to his Shogun. High quality workmanship for this superb piece in four elements from the late nineteenth century (Meiji period).
