Michele LOFFREDO (1870-1961), Pair of Orientalist Portraits, oil on canvas signed and dated 1898. A pupil of Mancini and Morelli at the Naples Academy of Fine Arts, Michele Loffredo, after a stay in Cairo, settled in Paris where he worked with Jean-Paul Laurent and Jules Adler at the Julian Academy. Mancini was a painter of street scenes, portraits and family scenes. Some of his works can be seen at the Musée d'Orsay and in Los Angeles.
