CRIVELLI was active in Milan as a genre painter, and specialised in the representation of animals, particularly in the themes of hunting and birds, demonstrating a refined technique and drawing inspiration from the painters of the Flemish school, XVII-XVIIIth century.
Both paintings have been refinished.
