Angelo Maria CRIVELLI known as "Il CRIVELLONE" (1650-1730) Pair of animal paintings depicting hens and roosters around a manger and a group of ducks.

CRIVELLI was active in Milan as a genre painter, and specialised in the representation of animals, particularly in the themes of hunting and birds, demonstrating a refined technique and drawing inspiration from the painters of the Flemish school, XVII-XVIIIth century.

Both paintings have been refinished.
