‘Summa Theologica’ Two volumes, work by Sant' Antonio printed in Lyon in 1528/1529.

Lot 194 - ‘Summa Theologica’ Two volumes, work of Sant' Antonio printed in Lyon in 1528/1529, cover in turned-over skin. A work intended for the training and service of confessors and preachers. Saint Antonin was one of the eminent moral theologians of his time, and was concerned with the economic and political problems of his city of Florence, which was under the power of the Medici. These works come from the library of Philippe Delhaye, a medievalist and moral theologian, eminent professor in Lille and Louvain, friend and collaborator in Rome of Cardinal Ratzinger, who himself acquired these two volumes from a well-known bookseller in Bologna.
