Marcel et Jean Claude DRESSE (XX) - Pair of table lamps, circa 1970.

Lot 100 - Marcel et Jean Claude DRESSE (XX) - Pair of table lamps, circa 1970. This pair of table lamps was designed and made in the workshop of Marcel and Jean-Claude Dresse. The base is in gloss white lacquered resin with bone inlay. The artist created a geometric design using rectangular pieces of bone. The swirling incised line design is typical of Dresse's work. Both lamps are in very good condition, with their authentic silk shades. Dresse's studio was active from the mid-1960s to the mid-1980s. She was known for her exclusive creations and designs in metallic mosaics, brass, bone, mineral stones, lacquer and resin. All the creations were made to measure for the greatest decorators and designers of the time in Belgium and Paris. Normal wear and tear
