Lot 193 - Pablo PICASSO (1881-1973) ‘Minotaure caressant une dormeuse’ Drypoint engraving from the Vollard suite, signed in pencil, printed by Lacourière, published by Vollard, Paris. Followed by the current owner: ‘Created by Pablo Picasso, Boisgeloup France 1934 who gave it to Ambroise Vollard by descent to the estate of Ambrosio Vollard who sold it to Henri M.Petiet (1894-1980) Paris, France. After 1939, owner/location unknown between 1939 and 1983. German private collection that acquired it in London, England, in 1983 or earlier in 1973 (?). Subsequently purchased by art dealer Marin De Jong in Amsterdam and subsequently placed in the Selket Fundation-Venlo (under Dutch law). The Selket Foundation sold it to Chevalier Arthur Vandekerckhove (Château de Gages) in 2002, who in turn sold it to the current owner, who wishes to put it back on the market.
