Some of the works (paintings) from Pierre Romain Desfossés' "Hangar" workshop, Aboriginal paintings, rare minerals and fossils will also be presented.
Explore a meticulously selected collection of African and Oceanic art, including masks, statues, headdresses, shields, knives, pottery, etc., capturing cultural diversity and the essence of human creativity.
The selection also includes exceptional minerals and fossils that bear witness to the earth's evolution. These include a rare large quartz slab (lot 59), a large agate (lot 66) and a 500 million-year-old fossil containing crinoids (lot 186).
Oceanic and African art: a U'U club from the Marquesas Islands (lot 175), an Asmat dish from the Casuare coast (lot 173), an exceptional Lega mask from a private Belgian collection (lot 71) and a rare Chokwé scepter (lot 87).

Special Terms and Conditions

The auction house is located at Gruuss-Strooss, 19 - L-9991 WEISWAMPACH (Luxembourg).
No presence in the auction room.

A. The General Terms and Conditions of Sale apply.
B. The lots will be sold without guarantee, "as is". Descriptions and information (weight, measurements, material, condition, etc.) are given for information only. (PLEASE CHECK THE INFORMATION YOU CONSIDER ESSENTIAL BEFORE THE SALE).
C. Winning bids will be confirmed to buyers. They will be asked for their choice of shipping and payment. Payment for winning lots must be made immediately. In accordance with articles L. 222-4, L. 222-9 and L. 222-10 of the French Consumer Code, the buyer/consumer has a right of withdrawal. The buyer/consumer has a period of 14 days following receipt of the lot(s) purchased to exercise his/her right of withdrawal. After dispatch or collection of the lot(s), the condition for exercising this right of withdrawal is the request, prior to the sale, for confirmation of the information/description elements that appear essential. The lots are supposed to be collected from our offices in Weiswampach. As delivery of the lot(s) is an optional service, delivery costs will not be reimbursed if the right of withdrawal is exercised. In addition, the Buyer will be responsible for the costs of return shipping and the prize(s) must be received by GoldField in good condition or at least in the condition in which they were shipped by GoldField. The right of withdrawal does not apply (even if the information has been confirmed) to precious metal items (gold, silver, platinum, ...), precious stones (diamond, pearl, ...) and perishable goods (wine, ...).
D. For bids via the goldfield.auction website, the purchaser will pay, in addition to the bid, 28% of the costs (all taxes included).
D.1. A supplement of 4% will be charged if the bids come from a partner platform: LOT-TISSIMO, DROUOT, THE SALEROOM, INVALUABLE, 51BIDLVE and LIVE AUCTIONEERS.
E. No additional charges linked to the method of payment.
F. PICK-UP / DISPATCH :
Lots must be collected from our premises in WEISWAMPACH. GoldField can arrange shipment of lots at the expense and responsibility of the purchaser.

F.2. Packages over 30kg cannot be dispatched (except in exceptional circumstances, at GoldField's discretion and subject to quotation). Even under 30 kg, some lots are considered undeliverable by GoldField (size, bulk, weight, ...), GoldField reserves the right to deliver or not a lot.
F.3. Lots are deemed to be collected from our premises (WEISWAMPACH). The sending of parcels is a service offered by GoldField. This shipment is made under the entire responsibility of the buyer. In the event of loss, breakage or a parcel being held up at customs, GoldField cannot be held responsible under any circumstances, and the buyer can therefore never demand a refund. However, GoldField will do its utmost to limit the risks, as this is a guarantee of means and not of results.
F.4. Paid lots are supposed to be collected within 15 days. If this time limit is exceeded, a sum of 5 EUROS per day and per item will be payable by the buyer until the lots are collected.
G. PURCHASE ORDERS : Orders may be placed by letter, Internet or telephone up to 24 hours before the start of each sale.
H. PAYMENT : cash, bank transfer, credit cards, in EUROS.
