Lot 66 - Yoruba cup bearer, Nigeria

Imposing carved wood sculpture, covered in an intense indigo with polychromy still clearly visible. This ceremonial figure comes from the former Michel Gaud collection, Saint-Tropez, and embodies all the symbolic richness of Yoruba art.
